A Russian Su-35 fighter jet practically collided with a U.S. navy plane throughout an intercept mission, based on footage launched by the North American Aerospace Protection Command (NORAD).
The incident, which occurred on September 23, concerned what U.S. officers are calling “unsafe and unprofessional” conduct by the Russian pilot.
NORAD described the actions of the Russian fighter as reckless, saying the Su-35 flew dangerously near a U.S. plane conducting a routine patrol throughout the Alaska Air Protection Identification Zone (ADIZ). The Russian jet reportedly took up positions shut to every wing of the U.S. plane, limiting its capability to maneuver safely.
