Rob Zombie hit the stage for Louder Than Life 2022 with authentic guitarist Mike Riggs rather than John 5 and everybody was a little bit confused. Because it turned out, Riggs had quietly rejoined Zombie‘s band as John 5 give up to go be a part of Mötley Crüe. In an interview with The Jasta Present, John 5 revealed that he nonetheless hasn’t spoken to Zombie since his departure, however notes that there’s no unhealthy blood between the 2.
“We’re not on unhealthy phrases. And Rob wished me nicely. And he was, like, ‘Go get ’em,’ and all that stuff. So we’re not on unhealthy phrases, however we simply haven’t spoke; we have not spoken to one another. However he is doing nice. He is received an important new band, and he is kicking ass on the market. However we simply have not talked. I do not suppose there’s any unhealthy blood or something. On Riggs rejoining Zombie‘s band, John 5 mentioned he had no hand within the matter. However he is thrilled that the man is again.
“No. I feel what occurred was we performed Louder Than Life [in September 2022], and I instructed Rob that I used to be becoming a member of Mötley Crüe. And we had two exhibits to do — we had Louder Than Life and we had Aftershock. And so I instructed Rob, after which we went to go do Louder Than Life, and I noticed Riggs type of standing on the facet. And I assumed, ‘Oh, that is nice. I feel Riggs can be unbelievable.’
“He did nice work on the sooner excursions, and I simply thought it was an exquisite concept. So I even mentioned to Rob, I used to be, like, ‘Rob, if he wants something, if he desires cupboards, if he wants this or that or something I can do to assist,’ I wished to assist in any means. However then Aftershock, I suppose Rob did not need me to play Aftershock. So Riggs performed that one.
“What’s so unusual about it’s the public had no concept what was happening. And that is what was so unusual, is that, unexpectedly, here is Aftershock after which I am not there. So everybody was, like, ‘Properly, what is going on on?’ However I feel folks figured it out and it was positive and fantastic. It was a bizarre transition, however that is okay.
He added: “I feel Rob, he is doing superior, and I feel the band is superior. And I feel it is a fantastic band and individuals are having fun with it. And that is what it is all about. It is all about folks having enjoyable and having fun with the music, and that is what’s taking place.”
