A brand new LCD Soundsystem album seems to be across the nook—or so it briefly appeared. After returning this week with their first music in two years, “X-Ray Eyes,” James Murphy and the band had been introduced as performers at Primavera Sound Barcelona 2025. A press launch for the competition included the next excerpt:

After representatives for LCD Soundsystem provided no touch upon a possible American Dream follow-up, representatives for Primavera Sound shared a brand new assertion concerning the band’s look on the competition:
“X-Ray Eyes” premiered Tuesday on NTS Radio DJ Anu’s present (pay attention from the 19:40 mark on the hyperlink), marking their first launch since “New Physique Rhumba,” from the White Noise film. That apart, the band has largely been taking part in residencies—in New York, London, Boston, and Philadelphia—in addition to numerous competition dates. Its sole longer launch since American Dream was Electrical Girl Periods.
