Rose Melberg and Jen Sbragia shaped the band within the mid-’90s in Portland, Ore., and so they launched an EP and three albums of heat, cozy songs about love, crushes and heartbreak earlier than taking a pause on the flip of the millennium.

However their friendship was all the time the idea of the band, and it stored going robust as their lives modified, relationships started and ended, and even once they moved to totally different cities.

Now, The Softies have returned with their first album in 24 years, known as The Mattress I Made, and listening to it’s a lot like selecting up with an outdated pal precisely the place you left off, like no time has handed.
