Marilyn Manson has dropped his defamation lawsuit towards Evan Rachel Wooden, and has agreed to pay her roughly $327,000 in attorneys’ charges.
“Marilyn Manson filed a lawsuit towards Ms. Wooden as a publicity stunt to attempt to undermine the credibility of his many accusers and revive his faltering profession. However his try to silence and intimidate Ms. Wooden failed,” wrote a consultant for Wooden, per a report from Rolling Stone. “Because the trial courtroom accurately discovered, Warner‘s claims have been meritless. Warner‘s choice to lastly abandon his lawsuit and pay Ms. Wooden her full charge award of just about $327,000 solely confirms as a lot.”
This all began in 2021 when Wooden named Manson as her abuser. The accusation opened the floodgates for a wave of different girls to return ahead, burying Manson in a world of lawsuits for the following few years. Manson responded by submitting a lawsuit towards Wooden and her pal Illma Gore in 2022, citing emotional misery and defamation.
A decide dominated towards parts of Manson‘s lawsuit in 2023 following Wooden and Gore‘s anti-SLAPP (Strategic Lawsuit Towards Public Participation) motions and ordered Manson to pay the duo roughly $500,000 in lawyer charges. Manson then appealed the 2023 choice towards him, which clearly did not lead to a lot because the lawsuit has now been dropped.
