Netflix has set a premiere date for One Hundred Years of Solitude, the collection adaptation of the Gabriel García Marquez novel that follows the Buendía household and the founding of the legendary city of Macondo.
Season one of many collection will kick off December 11; the plan is for 2 seasons of 8 episodes. Alex García López and Laura Mora co-direct the 16-episode mission, which is produced by Colombian manufacturing firm Dynamo. Writers are José Rivera, Natalia Santa, Camila Brugés, María Camila Arias and Albatrós González.
The collection was filmed totally in Colombia, with the assist of Marquez’s household.
It was revealed in 2019 that Netflix had landed the rights to adapt the e book. Netflix has mentioned it “is among the most formidable initiatives in Latin America to this point, delivered to life by probably the most proficient artists from Colombia and LATAM.”
Printed in 1967, One Hundred Years of Solitude is taken into account a masterpiece of Spanish-American and common literature. It has offered greater than 50 million copies and has been translated into greater than 40 languages.
