PCG checks coral damages after 2 barges run aground in NegOcc

BACOLOD CITY – The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is assessing the injury to corals after two barges, every carrying 7,500 metric tons of limestone ore, ran aground on the Campomanes Bay in Barangay Maricalum, Sipalay Metropolis, Negros Occidental on Sept. 14.

Asian Transport Firm Corp., the proprietor of the 2 barges, is sending a brand new barge for the spilled limestone ore to be loaded on.
