Natalie Lew, the Seattle-based musician who information as Sea Lemon, has unveiled a brand new track referred to as ‘Candy Anecdote’. It follows ‘Crystals’, her current collaboration with Dying Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard. Test it out under.
“‘Candy Anecdote,’ of all of my songs up till this level, was the shortest track to come back from nothing to completed,” Lew shared in a press launch. “I labored on it in my producer Andy’s studio, first with the underlying guitar after which with synths, rapidly constructing the structure of the track in an hour or so. Instantly after figuring out the type of eerie melodic construction of the track, I felt actually compelled to jot down lyrics about being in like to the purpose of obsession.”
She continued, “The web as a complete contributes to my feeling that I do know an excessive amount of about individuals, and I wished to lean into the darker and extra sinister sides of that with this track, because the narrator firmly believes the individual they’re watching is ‘the one.’ I really like artwork (films, music, books) that’s unsettling—not overwhelmingly scary or horrifying—and Candy Anecdote is supposed to be an unsettling track in each melody and lyrics that I’m excited to share.”
