The Montreal band TEKE::TEKE started in a document retailer, when band member Serge Nakauchi Pelletier discovered an album from Japanese guitarist Takeshi Terauchi. Within the 60s, Terauchi performed “eleki” music, Japanese folks rock instrumentals impressed by American surf-rock music.
