Thomas discusses his libertarian previous, explains why he deserted
that political philosophy, and summarizes an article on the subject
by the Catholic thinker Edward Feser. Feser, himself an
ex-libertarian who has written books on Hayek, Nozick and Locke,
argues that the libertarian view of self-ownership and personal
property rights can’t be reconciled with classical pure legislation
principle, and lays out a correct pure legislation principle of personal
property rights and taxation.
