Indie rock trio The Duskwhales shaped nearly 10 years in the past at a
small Catholic highschool in Virginia. Over that decade, 4
albums and three EPs, they’ve solid a distinctly melodic sound
in distinction to as we speak’s joyless pop milieu. Their vocal harmonies
hearken again to The Beatles and The Seaside Boys, whereas their
organ-heavy instrumentation (no bass participant of their reside exhibits)
units them aside from modern rock bands. On this 10-year
profession retrospective they talk about their musical output up to now, the
significance of their friendship and religion to their survival and
continuous inventive development as a band, the lack of melody and retro
clones in fashionable pop music, and extra. You’ll hear clips from their
eclectic discography, together with their new EP, Take It
Again.
