Toyota reportedly delays US EV manufacturing to 2026


Toyota’s U.S.-built EVs is likely to be coming a 12 months later than deliberate.

On Tuesday, Nikkei reported the beginning of manufacturing a brand new three-row electrical SUV at a plant in Kentucky will not happen till 2026.

In 2023 Toyota introduced manufacturing of the electrical three-row SUV would begin in 2025.

The delayed manufacturing is attributed to the slowing of EV gross sales, in accordance with Nikkei.

The Kentucky plant was mentioned to be getting a $1.3 billion funding to arrange it for EV manufacturing.

Nikkei reported that Toyota adjusted the automobile’s design and that performed a consider pushing the beginning of manufacturing.
