Voter information 2024: Indiana election for governor

Three candidates are working for Indiana governor and an opportunity to form schooling coverage within the state — Republican U.S. Sen. Mike Braun, Democrat Jennifer McCormick, and Libertarian Donald Rainwater.

Their views differ considerably, significantly on questions of schooling funding which might be more likely to take heart stage when the following legislative session begins in January.

Whereas Braun has indicated help for common entry to personal college vouchers, Rainwater, a software program engineer, helps common ESAs, which might give households state funding for the courses and actions of their selecting, not simply non-public college tuition.

In the meantime, McCormick, the former superintendent of public instruction, has identified that selection funding has siphoned cash from public faculties, which enroll 90% of Hoosier college students.
